More and more people are depressed and this is something that we should look into it the root of the causes. The factors that had contributed to it has been made known and many research has been made but it is still not understood why it is happened. However, new studies have revealed some of the factors as to why people develop depression.

Stress

When you feel stress you will feel depressed. Stress is the main factor that lead to depression. Anything such as social stress, can’t get a job, relationship deteriorating, money worries , anything out of control, pressure to get good grades or passing an examination, meeting deadlines and so forth could lead to depression. Other situation that could cause depression are changing of jobs, death news and even if you feel fear for no reason. There is no ending list to the depression cause. This are the situation that could not be avoided in everybody’s life and thus effort must be made to identify some stress coping methods so that if it is not the absolute solution but will help to make our life more happier. There is no full recovery from stress as it just keep changing everyday.

Drinking and Drugs

Depression could be easily attacked to people who take drugs and alcohol. Taking these two substances at younger age will have a negative impact on a person’s brain. Although those taking these substances feel good but it is only temporary but in the long run it will cause addiction.

A person will feel more depress rather than feel happy if he or she takes drugs. Drugs will increase dopamine from four to ten times as compared if you take delicious food which release dopamine about 50 percent and sex double the number. The former will lead to depression after dopamine goes away.

When this happen the person will ask for more drugs to mitigate the depression and it keep on increasing, thus creating the addiction.

Insufficient Sleep

40 percent of adults does not have sufficient sleep per day and 71 percent of the students complain having the sleep disorders and lacking of sleep.

When you have enough sleep you will feel healthy. When you sleep, your body is under repairing process and refining your thought. You will experience the lack of coherence in the brain waves when you have insufficient sleep. This could caused depression. When you sleep in during the day time , you will find it difficult to sleep at night and this had affected to the body’s natural timetable. You will then feel depressed too.

How to Overcome Depression

Balance your life with sufficient rest and exercise regularly. Sufficient sleep is vital for your healthy life. Most of us require between seven to eight hours of sleeping daily.

Organize your daily activities properly so that there is regularity in your life. Set your activities either on weekly or daily or monthly basis and by doing this, your body will has the time to get use to it. If this is done then chances are depression will fade away.

Do whatever you can. Don’t force yourself until beyond your limits of capability.

Your brain can function better if you expose more to sunlight and exercise. Find the time for you to enjoy the sunlight and try to be active during daytime.

Stay away from alcohol and drugs. On the surface, it may look tempting but it is actually caused more havoc in the person’s life who take it.

Eat healthy food and keep healthy as these are important component to keep the depression away . Take warm meal at least once in a day.

Enjoy your life by having fun every day but do not overdo it. Mix well with good and positive community or groups, chatting and having hobbies may heal your depression as such activities may make your mind busy thus mitigating you from thinking something that worries you out of nothing.

You can avoid deppresion and if you have one, it could be treated . Just adhere to the tips given and you will have a brighter and happier life.

Education requirements and other career advice for the ever popular topic: How to become a police officer.

Many will argue that there is no life calling more virtuous or upstanding than that of a certified law enforcement officer. In a progressively competitive society that increasingly encourages proper education, the bar for becoming a police officer is continually being raised. Today, the law enforcement field is perhaps more complex that it has ever been, a fact to which technology, sprawl, and morality may be credited. There exists a vast array of law enforcement positions available, literally ranging from boot camp instruction to court bailiff duty. All of these positions, however, generally fall under four distinct categories.

Urban police officers face a wide variety of responsibilities, ranging from regular patrols to service calls. The urban officer will often be assigned a particular “beat,” such as a particular residential neighborhood or business district.

A sheriff or deputy sheriff, on the other hand, enforces the law at the county level. These positions are a bit more difficult to obtain, as most fulfillers are elected to their posts. Duties are similar to those of the urban police officer, though it is convenient to think of the sheriff as a microcosmic police chief.

The third crop of law enforcement personnel constitutes the detectives, responsible for collecting facts and gathering evidence regarding criminal cases. Detectives are commonly at work conducting interviews, analyzing past records, providing varying levels of surveillance, and participating in raids or arrests.

Lastly, state police officers, often ambiguously termed highway patrol officers, have a state-wide beat, often emphasizing the lawful adherence of motor vehicle traffic. Accidents are a commonplace occurrence on today’s frenzied roadways, and the state police officer is often in attendance, in particular along highways. At the scene of the accident, the state police officer may take it upon himself to direct traffic, provide short-term first aid, or request emergency medical service.

Now that we have broadly clarified the spectrum of law enforcement, it is encouraging to note that most positions have similar, federally-regulated standards. At their most basic level, prerequisites include being a U.S. citizen at least twenty years of age, having no felony offenses on an applicant’s record, and possessing a high school diploma or its GED equivalent. Competitive written and physical examinations are par for the course, and so physically and mentally capable applicants are encouraged and highly sought.

Though only recently a requirement, federal and state law enforcement agencies mandate a college degree. While guidelines are relatively lenient, applicants must complete either a two-year associate’s program or a four-year bachelor’s program in a criminal justice-related field. Increasingly pertinent, foreign language prowess is highly regarded.

Once a law enforcement agency has hired an applicant, he or she will receive, in general, twelve to fourteen weeks of police academy training. This includes some focused classroom instruction on constitutional law, civil rights, state and local ordinances, as well as patrol, traffic control, firearm usage, self-defense, first aid, and emergency response training.

Similar to other, unrelated fields, continuing education is enduringly valued. Many law enforcement agencies will assist or fully fund a member’s tuition for further educational endeavors, which also garner higher salaries or wages. Rooted in an increasingly internet-reliant society, it should come as no surprise that many universities offer online courses toward an ultimate degree in justice administration.

Unlike many other fields of work, there is an incentive-based likelihood of upward mobility in virtually all aspects of law enforcement. A detective may soon find himself a juvenile justice administrator, and advancement to the levels of corporal, sergeant, lieutenant, and captain are made according to one’s standing on the promotion list. This position is directly related to the quality of one’s on-job performance, as well as his or her examination scores. Officers of all sorts routinely retire with a kind pension after only twenty to twenty-five years of service. It is conceivable that a law enforcement officer may seek a new career while still in his or her 40s, which is then supplemented with the previously-earned lifetime pension.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that police and sheriff patrol officers earn a median salary of $53,540, while chiefs, deputy chiefs, captains, lieutenants, and sergeants had an annual median salary of $67,840. Detectives and criminal investigators can expect a salary somewhere in between these two estimates. Despite its inherently competitive nature, the law enforcement field is continually in need of a few good men, and a little brains and brawn can go a long, profitable way.

Dental implants are a great option when it comes to tooth replacement. Help with Teeth explains what they are and the process involved in getting them.
Replacing teeth, whether singular or multiple, can be a traumatic ordeal; however, dental implants have improved over recent years and now offer convenient, realistic tooth root replacement. Basically, with the help of implants, your replacement tooth will actually feel like a real tooth.

Dental Implants: Information, Facts & Teeth Advice

Whether you’ve lost a tooth, or multiple teeth, to injury, decay, disease or old age, dental implants will provide a base for a natural-looking replacement. Read on for more information about what dental implants are and how the application process works.

What are dental implants?

Dental implants are titanium screws that are used to replace tooth roots within the mouth. Over time these implants will bond with the jaw bone, allowing them to act as a real tooth root and support a crown or bridge.

The success rate for dental implants is over 90 per cent, which far outweighs alternative tooth replacement methods. Another advantage is that due to the support they provide, neighbouring teeth will not be under any pressure.

Getting dental implants: The procedure

The process of getting dental implants can sometimes vary depending on which dentist you use. A general step-by-step is similar to this:

On the first visit to your dentist a mouth exam will be conducted and x-rays taken in order to evaluate your bone density.

Dental surgery by drill is conducted to insert the implant. The patient has the choice of going under general or local anaesthetic.

Once the implant has been anchored correctly, a temporary crown will be placed over it.

The patient must wait between three to six months for the implant to fuse to the jaw bone.

After this, a proper crown or bridge can be applied.

Once the procedure is complete, your dentist will inform you of strict hygiene precautions to follow and any required follow up visits.

Does everyone qualify for dental implants?

To qualify for dental implants, the patient must have good oral and general health, as well as sufficient bone to support the implants. To determine if you have enough bone, a test can be completed by a qualified dentist.

The procedure may not be successful for smokers as smoke can hinder the healing process taking place within the mouth. The same goes for sufferers of poorly controlled diabetes, as there can be difficulties involved in the healing of gum tissue.

When faced with the dilemma of choosing between root canal treatment and tooth extraction it can often be a tough decision to make. While some people don’t wish to go through the unpleasantness of root canal therapy, removing a tooth is not a stroll in the park either.

Root canal or tooth extraction? How to decide

Both methods have their pros and cons – it’s just a matter of selecting which procedure will work best for you in both the short and long term. Most people already know what is involved in the tooth extraction process, but knowing more about root canal treatment can help you to make a more informed choice.

What is root canal treatment?

A root canal procedure becomes necessary when a tooth is found to be badly infected or decayed. Decay occurs when the tooth’s pulp becomes infected. In order to save the tooth, the pulp and nerve must be extracted. After the treatment, the newly uninfected tooth will be cleaned and sealed.

Before treatment, x-rays and tooth examination must take place to ensure that your tooth and mouth are both suitable for the procedure. During the treatment an access hole will be made in your tooth and it will be cleaned of all infectious matter. While known for being a painful procedure, many people have acknowledged that root canal therapy is no more unpleasant than getting a filling.

Root canal vs. tooth extraction

When it comes to making a decision, most people consider factors such as cost, pain, convenience and, of course, health. Dentists have widely referred to root canal treatment as the more highly recommended option, stating that it is much better to save a tooth than remove one. Many have stated that it is also cheaper in the long run. Some other factors to consider include:

Is the tooth visible when you smile? If so, it may be a good idea to save your tooth and keep a more natural smile.

Both procedures are not too painful if anesthetised correctly.

Root canal therapy is generally the more expensive option initially; however, a replacement tooth may need to be replaced as often as every seven years.

Tooth extraction will release more bacteria into the bloodstream, making root canal therapy a safer option.

Whichever method you decide to go with, both are safe and generally painless. Root canal is usually recommended by dentists; however, tooth extraction and replacement procedures are now very advanced and offer natural-looking faux teeth.

What traits are required in an individual to allow them to successfully implement a low cost lifestyle? Perhaps a more important question is how can someone who currently suffers from debt or overspending change their financial and social outlook to correct their spending problem and get back on track? The root issue for those who have overspending problems is their lack of self control over their financial expenditure. A secondary but integral trait of overspenders is their blurred perception of wants and needs. Through long term dedication and tight control of personal spending nearly everyone can gain control of their finances and start putting money in the bank and/or get out of debt.

Frugality Requires Dedication And Compromise

Control of our finances is a trait that is deeply ingrained into our personalities. By default the average American is practically programmed from birth to be an industrial strength consumer. Advertisements and popular culture present images to the consumer that entice them to spend money on products that often times are unnecessary and wasteful. In all truthfulness 90%+ of everything most people purchase is not in the (absolutely) “need” category, however this is looking at finances from a pure survival standpoint. My intentions are not to provide a guide on how to barely survive while putting away thousands of dollars per month, rather I intend to provide a balanced approach that does not involve you living in a cave eating squirrels (although sometimes I feel this is how I live).

The first order of business is to clarify wants vs. needs. As said above needs could be classified as food, shelter, and nothing else but in the interest of maintaining a middle class lifestyle I will expand needs to cover elements of modern life that most would consider a “need”. We will put additional items such as electricity, hygiene products, clothing replacement, and basic (land line) telephone service into the needs category. Most would put a car into the needs category which is justifiable for a lot people, but there are cheaper alternative to owning your own car so I have excluded it. Just about everything else can go in the wants category; this includes everything from pets to lawn fertilizer to an automatic dishwasher. I have devised an additional category beyond wants and needs that I call “infrastructure”. Infrastructure basically is the tools of the trade that it takes to operate a home. These are usually one time purchases that last for decades such as a vacuum cleaner, refrigerator, furniture, stove, ect. Most of you probably already own these items and all I have to say to you is to take care of them and make them last. For those of you who do not own these infrastructure items you will find that living a frugal lifestyle will allow you to save money to buy these products when needed.

It is now time to lay down guidelines that should be followed to help you in your quest to lead a frugal lifestyle. Keep in mind that these are guidelines and only you can determine how to best apply them to your own life. Some of you may already be frugal and are just searching for tips to stretch your dollars even further while others may be desperate to cut your spending so that you can save yourself before submitting to years of debt.

1. Do not spend money that you do not have.
If you take nothing from this article except for this you will be ahead of a large percentage of your peers who are in debt from buying on credit. The only exception that I would consider a valid deviation to this rule (yes, this one is a rule) is the purchase of a home. I do not see cars as being a valid deviation because you can purchase usable cars for around $1000 dollars and decent cars for around $5000. The driving factors that I see that push people to spend money that they do not have is the whole “keeping up with the Jones’” concept along with trying to achieve a standard of living that they are used to having with their parents. Keeping up with the Jones’ can lead to a very expensive undeclared, and likely unrealized, war against your peers to maintain social status. I also see people trying to achieve the same standard of living that their parents spent 30 years building which results in debt. The proper approach is to save now and buy later, not spend now pay later as many people seem to do.

Borrowing money weather in the form of a loan from a bank or a purchase made on a credit card is absolutely contrary to almost everything that will allow you to get ahead by being frugal. By borrowing money you are paying interest to the crediting agency weather it is a bank or a credit card company. As time goes on you are paying a substantial amount of money just to cover the interest. If you instead put money in the bank you will be getting interest instead of paying it. Then when you need to buy something you can write a check and be done with it. I realize this is very basic but for some reason it seems like a large percentage of the people don’t remember having a piggy bank as a child and being taught that you save money and then you can buy something once you have enough in the bank to cover the cost.

2. Do not make impulsive purchases, no matter how small the value.
For many people going into a store with no purpose can result in coming out with less money and more unnecessary “stuff”. I suggest always making a well thought out list of what you need and/or want and can afford before you set foot into a store. When you go into the store buy only what is on your list and nothing more. As you walk around the store looking for the items you have predetermined that you need to buy you can begin creating a second list of items that catch your eye as a potential purchase. By writing down items that could become impulsive purchases instead of putting them straight into your shopping cart you can take the list home and study the pros and cons with the rest of your family and come up with a plan of action. However remember that the purpose of the list is not to remind you to buy the item next time, it is to help you realize that you probably don’t really need the item. I personally do not even create a list because I fall into the category of naturally frugal. I instead create a mental list, go to the store and forget half of the list and therefore only buy half of the stuff. I don’t really recommend this technique unless you are willing to use bar soap on your hair when you forget to buy shampoo, especially if you drive and would have to make a second trip to the store for forgetting.

3. Buy generic products.
This mostly applies to food but can also apply to any other product where brand name recognition commands a higher price. I have found that generic food can often be “better” than name brand products in terms of taste or other properties. A perfect example of where I have found that a generic brand was better than the a name brand version is with a particular brand (forget the exact brand) of Graham Crackers that held up much better than name brand Honey Maid Graham Crackers when utilized in Graham Crackers and milk. The Honey Maid crackers would become soggy in the milk after four or five seconds while the off brand crackers remained solid for several minutes. The number one concern is price though and generic products are almost always cheaper.

4. Conserve energy
Cutting down your energy expenditure is one of the easiest ways to drastically cut your monthly spending. Energy use includes everything that uses electricity, gasoline, natural gas or any other utility that you pay for. Your car is likely the single largest consumer of energy that you own. Cutting down the number of unnecessary miles that you drive can easily save you over $100 dollars per month; of course this depends on the location of your house in relation to where you need to drive and the fuel economy of your vehicle. Your home’s electrical usage also can be a large financial burden and smart usage can help to reduce the amount of money you spend on electricity. The easiest way to lower your electricity usage is to shut off appliances and lights when they are not in use. Also when your lights and appliances fail you should replace them with energy efficient models that will save you money in the long run even if the initial purchase cost is higher.

5. Take care of what you own
It is important for you to take care of what you own so that you do not have to spend money to replace it any sooner than you would otherwise have to. This applies to almost anything that has a limited lifespan such as clothing, shoes, cars, furniture, lawn mowers, computers, and appliances among other things. Use common sense and do not put undue strain or abuse on you possessions. Change the oil in your motorized equipment, wash your clothes as directed on the tag, and make sure to keep everything clean and functional. Items like these do not have indefinite life spans but by being frugal you should have more than sufficient funds to purchase replacements when the time comes. I have not had new clothing other than socks in over two years and everything still looks almost like new due to being careful and designating certain articles of clothing as “work” clothing while the rest is used lightly. This goes back to the concept mentioned in the first paragraph about changing your social outlook in order to adapt to a frugal lifestyle; everything you own does not have to be new and stylish.

As said before, these are just guidelines and they can be adapted to fit your individual situation. With hard work and dedication you can modify your daily life to allow decreased spending and increased savings. Successful implementation over the course of months and years will doubtlessly aid you in your long term financial goals while giving you a sense of satisfaction for being able to break your overspending habit. In the end it comes down your dedication to the goal of adapting a frugal lifestyle and adhering to your personal financial principals. Compromise is the key to being able to both live a decent life and to save money for the long term. With everything all said and done you should be asking yourself if what you are doing is worthwhile and making you happy with both your current standard of living and your future outlook based on a healthy financial cushion that you will be providing yourself with.

Some career tips, on how to ask for a salary pay raise.

When is the best time to ask for a raise?

When asking for a raise, timing is key. Asking at the wrong time will not only annoy your boss, but will usually prevent your request from being fully considered. Avoid asking for a raise during busy periods (end of the fiscal year, holidays, etc.) Try to wait until a slower-paced time when you know you boss will be able to give you his or her full attention.

Career tips: how to ask for a pay raise

Many people think they should discuss salaries during their annual performance review. This may not necessarily be a good idea. Many employers use the review as a way to focus on an employee’s weaknesses, not their strengths. So obviously that wouldn’t be the best time to ask for more money. Furthermore, annual review time is a very busy period for a company. Some employers have hundreds of evaluations to make, and wont have time to consider salary increase requests.

If your company has a firm policy of only will considering requests salary increases during review time, you still should send a written request to your boss a few weeks or a month before your review. State your accomplishments, and express your eagerness to further discuss your opportunities and growth when it is time for your evaluation. At least now the seed has been planted, and they will now have ample time to consider your request without distraction.

If your company does not have a formal review policy, you should initiate a meeting with your boss to discuss getting a raise. Just send a short memo or email asking for a time for the both of you to discuss your role and development.

What are some things I discuss with my boss during salary negotiations?

Emphasize what you have learned while you have been with the company, and what skills you have mastered. Tell your boss how you improved morale, productivity or the bottom line. Before your meeting, think about all the accomplishments you have made in the past year and share them with your boss. Make sure you can back up your claims up with facts and figures.

If your job duties have increased, you should discuss this as well. Hand your employer a list of your responsibilities. You should also provide a copy of your Job Description, so that you boss can see just how far above and beyond the call of duty you have went for the company.

If you feel you are underpaid, do some research ahead of time. Find out what others in your field are making. That will give you a better idea of how much you should be getting paid. Don’t be afraid to present you boss with this information, either. Just be sure not to compare yourself to other employees.

My boss won’t give me a raise, now what?

At this point, you may feel disappointed and frustrated, but don’t give up. Just because your request for a raise was rejected does not mean you have to walk away empty-handed. If you were denied because the company doesn’t have the money for a salary increase right now, ask for other benefits such as flextime, comp, or telecommuting instead. Time can be just as valuable as money.

If you were denied because your employer doesn’t feel that your work is worthy of an increase in pay, do not become offended. Instead, use this time to elicit feedback. Ask your supervisor what he or she feels you can do to be of more value to the company. Listen to their feedback, and take their advice. Your boss will appreciate your initiative, and your request will be much more likely to be honored in the future.

Are there any things I should avoid doing or saying when asking for a raise?

There are two main things you should NEVER do under any circumstances:

NEVER give ultimatums. Do not threaten to quit. It just gives your boss the impression that you have no loyalty to the company. And if your supervisors think that you are looking for employment elsewhere, they may start giving the more important or desirable work assignments to other employees, seriously stunting your potential for growth and advancement.

DO NOT compare yourself to your coworkers, or ask why you are not getting paid as much as another employee. Doing this will only show management that you cannot be trusted with confidential or sensitive information. Instead of snooping around to find out what your coworkers are making, research the average salary of someone working in your industry. Telling your boss what a person in your job capacity makes in your area is a much more professional sounding argument.

Ideas on how to choose a decorative wallpaper border to help establish the theme for baby’s room. Hints provided for finding traditional or untraditional inspiration.

Decorating a room for a new baby can be one of the most expressive projects you ever undertake. You have the opportunity to design the first intimate environment your child will call home. How exciting!

Nursery decorating tips and ideas: Baby wallpaper border ideas

I recommend getting the project started early – especially if you are the expectant mom or dad. The months will fly by faster than you can imagine. And you’ll want to have a good start on the baby’s room before Mom is too uncomfortable to be involved. The second trimester is usually the perfect time to start decorating baby’s room. By then, Mom’s nausea should be passing and Dad should be eager to help! And dads or other family and friends should help with the painting and wallpaper hanging as some fumes may make Mom queasy or be downright dangerous! (Remember to follow any directions on wallpaper adhesive packaging and keep the area well ventilated.)

Wallpaper border is one of the quickest and most cost-effective ways to establish a theme in a baby’s room. It’s simple to install with only a few simple measurements and a brush of glue! But choosing a nursery border can be daunting. New parents are often overly concerned about nursery decorating themes influencing their offspring. Don’t be. A newborn child will only be interested in whether or not the border is colorful and interesting to their new eyes. With that in mind, let’s take a look at a few ideas!

The traditional nursery wallpaper borders you will see in every catalog and display at the wallpaper store are usually in a lovely pallet of pastels. True, pastels are calming and relaxing to grown-ups and older children. But the eyes of a newborn child aren’t developed enough to differentiate pastel shades from one another. I suggest trying to find a border color scheme with at least one or two darker shades and perhaps dark outlines around objects of interest. If you really want to decorate in a Noah’s Ark theme, for example, try to find a border with bolder colors for the animals and dark outlines around Noah and the ark. As your baby’s eyes develop, he or she will be able to first see the outlined shapes, then later the colorful rainbow of animals.

Other common themes for nurseries are teddy bears, circuses, farms, and sports. Then there are the classic characters from childhood, Mickey Mouse, Winnie the Pooh and Mother Goose. All the classical themes are still good. If you have always dreamed of rocking your Dear One to sleep in a nursery bedecked with colorful dinosaurs — go for it!

Also remember that you and your spouse will be spending a great deal of time in Baby’s room. So make sure that whatever theme you choose is comfortable for you to be in too!

If you wish to break from the traditional nursery themes, think about what hobbies the child’s parents enjoy. What kind of stimulating environment will your child be raised in? If there is a great deal of music in your home consider a wallpaper border of musical notes and instruments. If you or your spouse are avid outdoorsmen, consider a fishing or wildlife theme. If books are important to the baby’s parents, chances are they will be important to Baby too! So you may consider a border of classic children’s literature characters or storybooks. And if the parents love science and exploration, why not have a nursery with a scientific element? Maybe a wallpaper border of the solar system or the ocean would be appropriate to stimulate your child.

Choosing the right wallpaper border will easily define your nursery theme and give you and your baby eye-catching entertainment for years! And if you choose your theme early enough, you’ll be able to tell your family and friends before the baby shower!

How are you able to become an electrician? This article explains what needs to be done to become an electrician.

The electrical industry is one of the largest most stable industries in the world. Electricians in the construction industry play a vital role. Electricity is used in everything from heating, lighting, air-conditioning, and as a power source for appliances and machinery.

Installation electricians install electrical systems and equipment into buildings. This includes installing cables and the cable supports like conduit and trunking. Electricians install distribution equipment such as fuse boxes and switchboards. They also install wiring accessories like sockets, switches, lights, fans, and heaters. Electricians also inspect, test, and repair these installations. An electrician can earn as much as $40 an hour. The field is an attractive field to enter.

If you are looking for a career that is challenging, rewarding, and hands-on, becoming an electrician is the career for you. What follows is what is needed to enter the field of electrician.

While in high school, take courses in math, science, electronics, and mechanical drawing. Some local vocational colleges have apprenticeship programs available or contact an organization that sponsors an apprenticeship program. There are programs like The National Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee or the National Electrical Contractor’s Association. Most electricians take part in programs such as these. They provide at least 144 hours of classroom instruction and 8000 hours of on-the-job training over the course of a 4-5 year apprenticeship.

The requirements for these apprenticeship programs are:

Minimum age 18

High school education

One year of high school algebra

Qualifying score on an aptitude test

Drug free

Each apprentice program will have specific local requirements and will provide the training for electrical workers in their specific geographical area.

The aptitude test is designed to determine whether you posses the abilities needed to succeed in the electrical construction industry. The test will include some algebra and functions to test your ability to solve problems using algebra. There will be a reading comprehension test. This test measures your ability to gain information from written passages.

In the classroom, the apprentice learns blueprint reading, electrical theory, electronics, mathematics, electrical code requirements, first aid, and safety. On the job, under the supervision of experienced electricians, the apprentice learns how to master the work of an electrician. They start by drilling holes, setting anchors, and set up conduit. Later they will measure, build, and install the conduit. The apprentice will install, connect, and test wiring, outlets, and switches. They will progress to learn how to set up and draw diagrams for entire electrical systems.

For those who do not enter a formal apprenticeship program, not all is lost. You can begin to learn the trade by working as a helper for an experienced electrician. You will learn to install conduit, connect wires, test circuits, and safety practices. You can supplement this training with trade school or correspondence courses.

Employment of electricians is going to increase. As the population and the economy grow, many electricians will be needed to install and maintain electrical devices and wire home, factories, and offices. With the building boom, the career of electrician is a career to get into.

Check with your regular physician before beginning any diet program.

Choose your diet plan carefully.

Shop before beginning your diet.

Water, water, water.

Use care when discussing your diet intentions with others.

Exercise/Resistant weights.

Learn correct portion sizes.

Use a food diary.

Don’t make drastic changes.

Don’t forget to reward yourself.

Be patient.

Before beginning ANY diet, check with your regular physician. By reviewing your chart and discussing your weight reduction goals, he will be able to provide some guidelines and monitor any health concerns. He may recommend a specific diet plan to address any particular health issues you might have.

Choose your diet plan carefully. Remember that the best eating plan will be one that you can stick with easily and that offers sensible and realistic weight loss expectations. As a rule, a weight loss of 1-2 pounds per week is a reasonable expectation and a healthy plan. An extreme diet plan which consists of only a few foods or that greatly restricts your daily caloric intake is not a reasonable or even healthy plan to follow. Your diet should consist of a variety of healthy foods.

After you have chosen your diet plan, make a shopping list of those foods that are recommended for your particular diet. It is much easier to stick with any eating plan if the necessary foods are already on hand.

Drink plenty of water. Water will help promote a feeling of fullness and keep your body hydrated. It will also aid in your digestive process. It is better to drink cold water as your body will expend energy in heating the water and use more calories to do so. Often, people will mistake thirst for hunger pains. If you drink a glass of water and don’t feel hungry, chances are you were only thirsty. The recommended amount of water is around 48 to 54 ounces consumed daily.

Use care when discussing your diet intentions with others. Well-meaning family members or friends can derail your from your diet by offering or insisting that you eat foods not on your plan.

Add exercise to your weight loss plan. Whether your chosen exercise is walking, biking, aerobics, or swimming, the extra body movement will help burn excess calories and help tone muscles and increase blood circulation. Adding some resistant weight training to your program will also help burn calories, tone muscles and increase bone density to reduce the likelihood of osteoporosis.

Learn correct food size portions. Even eating the right kinds of food will hinder your weight loss if you are eating too much. As a general rule, a single meat portion should be palm-sized (without the fingers) and no thicker than your pinkie width or no more than 4 ounces per serving. Food portions for foods such as potatoes or vegetables should be no larger than your clenched fist while a tablespoon portion should be the size of your thumb.

Use a daily food diary to track the types of food you are consuming as well as the portion sizes, calories, fat or carbohydrates. By reviewing your diary, you can see at a glance if you have eaten too much/too little of any foods. By tracking these categories, you can adjust your eating pattern if needed. Eating too little food will slow your metabolism.

Don’t make drastic changes. You will have better success with your diet plan if you make modest changes over a period of time. Don’t just decide to become a vegetarian and expect to immediately be satisfied without meat. Slowly decrease your meat servings while increasing your vegetable servings.

Don’t forget to reward meeting each small goal. When you lose your first five pounds, treat yourself to a new fragrant body spray. When you reach your 10 pound goal buy yourself a pair of smaller jeans.

Be patient. Remember that your goal isn’t just to lose weight. Your ultimate goal should be to achieve a healthier lifestyle. By setting realistic, achievable goals you will stick with your diet plan and succeed.
